Terms of Service
Terms
Version 2026-10-move. Operated by SLPcentral LLC, 8735 Dunwoody Place, Ste N, Atlanta, GA 30350.
These terms are an agreement between you and SLPcentral LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("SLPcentral," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using SLPcentral on iPhone or on the web, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use SLPcentral
You must be at least 18 and a speech-language pathologist, SLP assistant, clinical fellow, or a student in communication sciences and disorders or speech-language pathology (or a related field). SLPcentral is a tool for adult professionals and students. It is not for clients, patients, parents or children, and they must not use it or its AI features.
You are responsible for your account: keep your password private, lock your devices, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
2. What SLPcentral is, and what it isn't
SLPcentral helps you organize your caseload, collect data, track hours and draft documentation, and (when available) gives you an AI assistant to think through clinical questions with. It does not replace your professional judgment, it is not a medical device, it does not provide legal or compliance advice, and it does not make clinical decisions.
You remain responsible for your clinical judgment and your records. That includes every goal, data point, note and report you save; checking them for accuracy; and keeping required records in your official system of record (your district's IEP or Medicaid system, your practice's records system, or your university clinic's system). SLPcentral is a working tool, not a replacement for those systems, unless your employer or practice decides otherwise.
3. AI features: drafts, not decisions
Some features use AI to help you start your work: Anthropic's Claude models draft organized notes, SOAP notes, progress reports and present levels, and power the assistant Ollie when it is available. Google Speech-to-Text turns Brain Dump recordings into text.
Every AI result is a draft. It is labeled as a draft and is never saved or sent on your behalf. You review it, edit it, and decide whether to save it.
AI can be wrong. It can misread your dictation, leave things out, or add something that didn't happen. The app warns you about numbers that don't match your data, but it cannot catch everything. Check every draft against your data and your memory of the session.
You are the author of anything you save. Using AI does not move clinical or legal responsibility to us.
AI features run only after you allow them, and you can turn them off under More → AI & Data Sharing.
4. Rules for AI use
Our AI providers require that a qualified professional review AI output before it is finalized or acted on, and that people are told they are working with AI. We pass those conditions on to you. When you use the AI features you agree:
You are the qualified professional in the loop. Review, correct and approve every draft, answer, suggestion and session plan before you save it, put it in a record, share it, or act on it with a client. If you are a student clinician or clinical fellow, also follow your supervisor's review and co-signing rules.
The assistant may answer clinical questions and draft session plans; you decide. Treat what it says the way you would a colleague's suggestion: something to weigh, not an instruction. Don't rely on it as a diagnosis or as a substitute for your own clinical judgment, assessment or the evidence.
Only adult clinicians use the AI. You must be 18 or older, and you must not let clients, patients, parents, children or anyone else use SLPcentral or talk to the assistant on your behalf.
Keep names out. Never enter client names, initials, birthdates or other identifying details into the text you send to the AI (see section 5).
Be honest about AI where your setting requires it. If your employer, program, payer or state requires you to tell clients, families or others that AI helped you, that is your responsibility.
Don't use the AI features for anything illegal, harmful or deceptive, or in a way that breaks Anthropic's Usage Policy (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup).
The assistant tells you it is an AI at the start of every chat. We may suspend AI features for an account that breaks these rules.
5. Your data and your responsibilities
You own your content. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide SLPcentral to you (including sending it to our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy). We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI.
Follow the law and your workplace rules. You are responsible for complying with HIPAA, FERPA, state privacy and recording laws, licensing-board rules, and your employer's, district's, university's or externship site's policies, including getting any permission you need before recording or using AI with a client's information.
Client names go in the name fields. Don't put client names, initials, birthdates or other identifying details in goals, notes, Brain Dumps, calendar titles or hours notes. Those fields are sent to the AI when you draft, and AI must never receive names.
Never put client details in messages to us (in-app feedback, the website chat, or email to support@slpcentral.app or privacy@slpcentral.app). Support channels are not part of our protected clinical storage and are not covered by a Business Associate Agreement.
Student clinicians: the clients you see in placement usually belong to your university clinic or externship site. Enter only what your program allows, and remove or hand over records when your placement ends if your program requires it.
Covered entities: HIPAA requires a Business Associate Agreement between you and us before you enter patient information. Ask for ours at privacy@slpcentral.app (Privacy Policy section 10).
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
use SLPcentral for anything illegal or to harm anyone;
enter information about people you don't serve professionally, or that you aren't allowed to enter;
try to get into another person's account or data, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
copy, resell, reverse-engineer or scrape the app, or use it to build a competing product;
upload malicious code, or use automated tools to access the service except as we allow.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Plans. SLPcentral Pro is $14.99 a month or $149.99 a year, unless a different price is shown when you buy. Undergraduate and graduate student tools are free, with limits (for example, a client cap and a set number of AI drafts) described in the app.
Free trial. New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial. On iPhone, the trial is part of an Apple subscription: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, Apple charges you and the subscription renews automatically.
Who bills you. On iPhone, Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under Apple's terms; we can't issue Apple refunds. On the web, payment is processed by our billing provider (RevenueCat, using Stripe); cancel under Profile → Manage subscription.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
If your subscription ends (you cancel, a payment fails after Apple's grace period, or you get a refund), your licensed-tier account goes back to the free starter: up to 5 clients with every tool, 3 AI drafts and 15 minutes of Brain Dump a day. If you have more than 5 clients, your account is read-only until you subscribe again or have 5 or fewer: you can still see your data and view and copy your notes and reports. We don't hold your data hostage.
Price changes. We will tell you before a price change affects you. Apple may ask you to agree before a higher price applies.
Discounts (for example, the Clinical Fellowship price) are one per person and may be withdrawn if the details given aren't accurate.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Profile → Delete account. Your clinical records, synced client names and account data are erased immediately (backups age out after about 30 days; see the Privacy Policy). Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it first in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions. Before you delete, export, print or copy anything you must keep; we do not restore deleted accounts.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. If we close your account for a reason other than misuse, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data where we can. If we ever stop offering SLPcentral, we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can export or print your records.
9. Availability and changes to the app
We work to keep SLPcentral available and your data safe, but the service may sometimes be unavailable (for example, during maintenance or an outage at a provider). Keep your official records in your system of record. We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something important you paid for, you can cancel.
10. Disclaimers
SLPcentral is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI drafts will be accurate or complete, or that using SLPcentral will by itself make you compliant with any law or rule.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if we were told they were possible; and
our total liability for all claims about SLPcentral is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for our fraud or willful misconduct, or our obligations under a signed Business Associate Agreement to the extent that agreement says otherwise.
12. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you entered, your use of SLPcentral in breach of these terms, or your breach of a law or of your obligations to your clients, employer or program, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim. We will tell you about the claim and let you help defend it.
13. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving Walton County, Georgia, and you and we consent to those courts. Either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
14. Apple
If you use SLPcentral on iPhone: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no duty to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for claims about the app (including product-liability, legal-compliance or intellectual-property claims). If the app fails to meet a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm you are not in a US-embargoed country or on a US prohibited-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change, we will update the version date and ask you to accept the new terms in the app before they apply to you. If you don't accept, you can export your data and delete your account.
16. Other terms
These terms, the Privacy Policy and any Business Associate Agreement we have signed with you are the whole agreement between you and us about SLPcentral. If one part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a business that takes over SLPcentral (for example, if SLPcentral is sold), and we will tell you if that happens.
