SLPcentral vs SLP Toolkit
SLP Toolkit has been the school SLP's workflow tool since 2016: screeners, goals, daily data, reports and scheduling, on the web. SLPcentral is new, phone-first, and built around one job: an AI assistant, Ollie, drafts the note and the progress report from the data you logged.

Price. SLP Toolkit: $29/month or $215/year, district $235/license/year, 30-day trial with a card (as of October 14, 2026, from their public pricing page). SLPcentral: free starter (5 clients, 3 drafts a day), Pro $14.99/month or $149.99/year, 7-day trial.
Data collection. Both collect daily data with graphs. SLP Toolkit does it on the web with printable sheets; SLPcentral does it on your iPhone with one tap per trial, cue levels and groups.
Notes and progress reports. This is the difference. SLP Toolkit shows last session's notes when you start the next and compiles one-page progress printouts; its AI assistant and goal builder are ChatGPT-based tools outside the app, so they can't see your data. In SLPcentral, an AI assistant, Ollie, drafts the SOAP note and the progress-report narrative from the trials you logged, in your format, inside the app. Every number comes from data you logged; Ollie never makes one up. You review and save.
Where SLP Toolkit wins. Built-in present-level screeners, criterion-referenced tests and rubrics; a deep report menu including Medicaid data; caseload scheduling; district purchase orders; a large community and CEUs. SLPcentral has intake screeners and a goal bank, not a testing library.
District purchasing. SLP Toolkit: district plan, $235/license/year (as of October 14, 2026). SLPcentral: yes, by invoice; email support@slpcentral.app.
Privacy. SLP Toolkit states it is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate and treats student data under FERPA, encrypted at rest and in transit, with a student data privacy agreement available. SLPcentral keeps client names on your device (Ollie never receives your client name fields) and stores clinical records in HIPAA-covered Google Cloud storage under a signed Business Associate Agreement, US only.
Bottom line. If screeners and scheduling are why you pay, SLP Toolkit earns it. If the notes are what eat your evenings, try SLPcentral free, no card: App StoreSee the full three-way comparison →
FAQ
Can I use both?
Yes; many SLPs keep Toolkit for screeners and use SLPcentral for in-session data and notes. CSV import brings your caseload over.
Does SLP Toolkit draft notes?
Not from your data inside the app; its AI is an external ChatGPT assistant.
Is SLPcentral cheaper?
Yes: about half the monthly price, and a free tier.
