Meet Ollie

An AI agent for speech therapists

He drafts your notes from your own data, in your format. You make the call.

Every SLP I know has lived this one. Stop me if it sounds familiar.

It’s 4:12 on a Wednesday afternoon. You just finished a full day of therapy, you have two IEP meetings next week, and six kids’ session notes still aren’t done. You’re planning to knock those out on Friday, but oh wait, a new student is joining your caseload, so now there are intake forms to review and parents to call. Need I go on?

We carry a lot because what we do matters. It changes lives. If you’re anything like me, that’s exactly why you became an SLP, and that difference happens in therapy. You became an SLP for the therapy, not the paperwork.

So we built you some help. Meet Ollie, your personal SLP agent. He’s an otter, he lives in the SLPcentral app, and he understands your workflow, your caseload and the way you write. He’s also adorable, so bonus points for that.

Wait, what’s an AI agent?

You’re going to hear this word a lot. (No, not the tuxedo-and-martini kind.) An AI agent is the next step past the AI chat tools you may have tried. A chatbot waits for you to paste things in and answers one question at a time. An agent already has the context, so it can take a whole task off your plate and bring it back for you to check.

The agents in the news are great for everyday life, but they weren’t built for an SLP’s day. They don’t know your caseload, your goals or your IEP deadlines. Wouldn’t it be nice to have one made just for speech therapy? Well, I’m so glad you asked.

An AI agent built for SLPs

That’s what Ollie is: an AI agent made specifically for speech-language pathologists. Text him “draft my notes from my sessions today with Maya, Jonah and Leo,” and he pulls today’s data for each of them, drafts one note per kid in your format, and asks you about anything he couldn’t verify. Then he waits for you.

Ollie drafts. You review, you edit, you save. He never touches your record without you.
A text to Ollie asking for session notes for three students, and his reply with one draft per student.
One text, three drafts, one question. The “you check it” step is on purpose.

That question matters. The numbers come from your data, not from him. If a cue level or a trial count isn’t there, he asks instead of guessing, and nothing is saved until you’ve looked.

He gets to know your caseload

The more you work with Ollie, the better he knows you and your kids. Mention something worth remembering and he’ll ask before he saves it, so it’s there the next time you plan.

Leo was so much chattier today once I pulled out his dinosaur cards!

I love that! Want me to remember that dinosaurs get Leo talking? It’ll help when we plan his sessions.

Yes please

Remembered about Leo: dinosaur cards get him talkingUndo

Got it. Next time we plan for Leo, I’ll work the dinosaurs in.

Ollie asks before he remembers anything about a client. You can see, edit or delete it anytime in “What Ollie knows.”
  • Need an IEP prep script based on a client’s last quarter? Just text Ollie.
  • Need an annual IEP, a parent meeting and new sessions on your calendar? Ollie sets them up, and you tap to confirm each one.
  • Need session ideas, and all you know is that your client loves Minecraft and dinosaurs? Oh, Ollie can definitely handle that one.
  • Group notes: one quick brain dump for the whole group, and a draft for each child with their own data.
  • “How is she doing?” Answered with real numbers from your sessions and the dates behind them.

Busy week! Want me to start Jonah’s IEP prep script, or draft Maya’s progress report from her data first?

He knows your week, too: IEP meetings, report deadlines, today’s groups.

Why that’s such a big deal

Paperwork that follows you home is one of the biggest reasons SLPs burn out. With Ollie, you start every note, report and plan from a draft instead of a blank page.

  • Your evenings back. Save even 30 minutes a day and that’s around 100 hours over a school year. (That’s an estimate, and your numbers will vary.)
  • IEP meetings you walk into prepared, instead of pulling it all together the night before.
  • Being present in the session, because the note won’t be a mountain later.
  • Less on your mind. Deadlines, meetings and who needs what, all in one place that already knows your week.
Less time on paperwork. More time being the SLP you trained to be.

What Ollie never does

  • He never saves, sends or submits anything on his own. Every note is a labeled draft until you review it and tap Save.
  • He never contacts parents, teachers or anyone else.
  • He never diagnoses, and he never grades your clients or your work.

Privacy, built in from the start

Ollie never receives your client name fields. When he works on a client, he works with a random code like CLT_X92J.

  • Your clinical records live in HIPAA-covered Google Cloud storage, and Ollie runs on Anthropic’s Claude, each under a signed Business Associate Agreement, US only. Neither uses your data to train its models.
  • Client names stay on your device, or sync between your phone and the web with extra encryption, only if you turn that on.
  • Run a practice that needs a BAA with us? We offer one. Email privacy@slpcentral.app.

Who gets Ollie

  • Licensed SLPs: Ollie is part of SLPcentral Pro ($14.99 a month or $149.99 a year) at no extra cost, with a 7-day free trial. Not ready to subscribe? Start free with up to 5 clients, no card needed.
  • Graduate students: Ollie is free, with a daily message limit.
  • Undergraduates: not yet. We’re thinking about a study-buddy version for you.

Ollie works on your phone and on the web, and everything you already use in SLPcentral is still here.

Our promise

We’re not building a chatbot with an SLP sticker on it. We’re building the most helpful AI agent an SLP has ever had: one that knows your caseload, drafts in your format, keeps up with your week, and gets better every time you use it. I’m an SLP grad student surrounded by SLPs every day, including my fiancée, and every month Ollie will learn from what you tell us. Tap “Ask the founder” in the corner of this page anytime. It comes straight to me.

Open SLPcentral, tap Ollie, and text him anything. I built him for the version of you that’s still at your desk at 4:12 on a Wednesday. I hope he gives you your evenings back.
